The City of Rancho Cucamonga is a General Law City. The local government structure is of the City Council-City Manager form. This consists of an elected City Council of citizens responsible for policy making and a team of professional administrators supervised by a City Manager. The City Manager is responsible to the City Council. The Mayor chairs the City Council and is directly elected by the voters.
